Spinning of thoughts
As his words sputter out
A message unsought
Whisphers escalate to shouts

Ripped from the heart
Fears now realized as true
Life together now crumbling apart

Try to see past
Painful beats in my chest
Standing steadfast
To do what is best

One foot out the door
Weight of air
Fall broken to the floor

Fight to stand tall

Heart thump, thump, ache, thump ache
